Global Opportunities for Sociology and Social and Political Sciences students

Year Abroad Exchange Destinations

Undergraduate Sociology, Criminology, and Political Sciences students can apply to study abroad as an additional year abroad or credit-replacing exchange.

Undergraduate Law and Criminology students can apply to take an additional year abroad choosing from the exclusive departmental options for both the departments of Sociology (below) and Law.

Czech Republic: Charles University Prague (Study in English)

Italy: University of Trento (A2 Italian, English required)

Germany: University of Konstanz (B2 German, English required)

Netherlands: Maastricht University (Study in English)

Norway: University of Bergen (Study in English)

Spain: University of Salamanca (B2 Spanish, Study in English for additional year abroad)

Sweden: Lund University (Study in English), Stockholm University (Study in English)

Undergraduate Sociology, Criminology, and Political Sciences students may also apply to study abroad at one of York’s University-wide partners, which are open to students from most other departments at the University.

As part of your internal application for an additional year abroad, you may be able to include ISEP Exchange as a destination. Start your ISEP research by looking at the ISEP Program Finder and applying the ISEP Exchange filter for your field of study.
