Begin with these top tips to reduce waste
- Donate or sell your unwanted items ahead of moving out at the end of term. You can donate on campus by using the British Heart Foundation charity recycling banks on campus
- Remember your reusable bottles, cups and bags to avoid unnecessary waste – try leaving them by your door so you don’t forget
- Make sure you know what you can and can’t recycle where you live
- Eat, share or donate any suitable food in your fridge, freezer and cupboards to avoid food waste and save money
- Don’t overbuy! Keep track of what you’ve bought and used, and always use a list when food shopping
- Moving out of your accommodation shortly? Check out the waste and recycling web page to find out what items can be recycled.
