Help guide our work on student wellbeing

Posted on 25 June 2024

Help us make it easier for students to access tailored wellbeing support.

Many students may benefit from seeking professional support for psychological distress or other problems during their time at university. We aim to develop an intervention strategy that will make it easier for students to access support that is relevant to them.

We have completed a number of research studies that explore how students access support, and what strategies have worked in the past. We want to share our ideas with students who will help us develop this work and turn it into a new strategy to help students at York.

What is involved?

We're looking for six students to attend a series of three to four discussion workshops. A researcher will host the workshops and will present ideas to you. You will then be able to discuss the ideas and provide feedback to the researcher. All students enrolled at the university are eligible to take part.

How much time is involved?

We will run workshops between June and September. Each workshop is expected to last for around two hours. We ask if you can try to attend all of the workshops if possible.

As a thank you

A £25 shopping voucher will be offered for each workshop attended.
