Update on campus protest

You may be aware that a small group of students have established a Palestine solidarity protest in the space between Heslington Hall and Derwent College. The surrounding buildings and spaces remain open.

We are in touch with the protestors, to ensure participant safety, maintain effective dialogue and uphold the right to freedom of expression, while also working to minimise disruption for students studying and staff working in the immediate area.

We know that many in our community are distressed and directly impacted by the ongoing conflict. As always, we ask all University members to remember that we are a community of respect, and we expect everyone to treat each other with fairness and compassion.
