The Access and Outreach team are delivering four residentials between July and August 2022 as part of our Next Step York, York Experience Summer School and YorWay to York programmes. Across 4 weeks over 300 Year 12/ Level 3 Year 1 students will be visiting from across the UK.
The prospective students will take part in academic sessions, student life sessions and transitional skills sessions, along with taking part in social activities and getting to know the city of York. It is also an opportunity for them to meet other students, university student ambassadors and staff members, and feel part of the University of York’s inclusive and dynamic community.
Each of these residential experiences are aimed at supporting students who are underrepresented in Higher Education.
We need up to 160 staff to support our young people across the 4 residentials and we welcome applications from all York students.
If you are part of the York Student Ambassador Scheme, a Next Step York or YorWay to York Supporter, a Black Access Ambassador, an Access and Outreach Intern or worked on our Easter residential programmes your application will be given priority and you will be fast tracked to interview if your application is fully completed to a good standard.
All successful applicants will be expected to comply with the strong University of York and Access & Outreach Safeguarding policy, including the completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Payment will be: £9.77 per hour plus holiday pay.
