Throughout November, the Directorate of Estates and Campus Services hosted a number of student drop-in sessions across campus to talk about accommodation and campus services.
A number of college sessions were well attended with some great engagement. In total around 30 students discussed their queries, with many others sending their questions along with their student representative.
The purpose was to give students an informal environment to ask any questions regarding accommodation or to raise any maintenance issues. Topics ranged from the laundry to bedrooms and directions at arrivals weekend.
Estates and Campus Services are always keen to engage with anyone living on campus to discuss ways to improve how we live and work, ensure a safe experience for everyone and make the best use of space on campus.
The accommodation and maintenance teams will be looking at ways to move forward with all of the concerns raised.
We’re already organising future opportunities to meet with student representatives and staff from the Directorate of Estates and Campus Services will attend any upcoming meetings held by student reps to answer questions and address any issues raised.
If you weren’t able to make these sessions and have anything you would like the Accommodation or Maintenance teams to consider, get in touch with a student rep so that they can bring the question along to their next meeting.
Thank you to everyone who came along to speak to the teams.
