The Interactive Media Showcase will be an industry-attended gala event on the evening of Friday 15 June, 6pm-7pm. It will give students a chance to display their work to visitors from various industries, including tech, marketing and finance.
This event is organised by students studying BSc Interactive Media and will be part of the annual LUMA Film Festival at the University of York. It is a showcase designed to show off the sheer variety of skills and talent that the course has to offer. This showcase has been entirely student-led, with a group of dedicated students working over the past months to organise, promote and develop the event.
Joe Lamyman, the lead director of Interactive Media Showcase said, 'This will give students the chance to talk about their work and discuss roles that their work might lead to wtihin the industry. We've found that as Interactive Media students, we always have a difficult time trying to explain to employers everything that the course encapsulates.'
The event will showcase pieces such as Critical and User Experience Design; Virtual Reality experiences and humanities dissertations. All of which have been selected to show the very best work carried out by the Media Interactive students at the University of York.
