The York Pride theme for 2017 has been 'Raise your rainbow', encouraging people to celebrate their identities and show their support by flying the Rainbow Flag. The iconic rainbow colours of the flag are symbolic expressions of diversity and positivity within the LGBT community.
On Friday 2 June, at 2.45pm, we will be raising the rainbow flag outside Central Hall in the run up to the York Pride Parade. Please do come along, whether you wish to celebrate your own identity or show support for others.
There will be a parade from the Minster to the Knavesmire on Saturday 10 June, starting at 11.15am. Join us under the joint staff and students banner we will be flying for the University of York.
Form more information, please see the Equality and Diversity web page or contact the team at equality@york.ac.uk.
