Does James College have the most proactive students?

York Award star

James College has claimed the 2015/16 York Award trophy for College Engagement by having the largest number of first year students successfully complete the York Award.

Make your first year count

The York Award is the University’s certificate of personal development. The scheme helps you to reflect on experiences and skills you gain outside of your course. Gaining the York Award demonstrates that you are a proactive person, keen to take on challenges beyond your degree - which is a great addition to your CV.

This year, the College competition is running once again. Which college will come out top?

Mike Britland, Assistant Head of James College said,

"The York Award is a fantastic scheme, which really helps new students to think about how to get the most out of their time here. I'm very pleased that so many James students have taken advantage of the award in its first year, and I'd like to thank all of the James College team, and our friends in Careers, for working so hard to promote it to our students."
