The tuition fees for a Year in Industry will be 20% of the full fee for that year. If you started University before September 2017, you will pay 15% of the full fee for that year. If you are receiving a student loan, you must tell your loan provider and the tuition fee element of your loan will be reduced accordingly.
UK students can apply for a reduced rate Maintenance Loan, even if you are on a paid placement. The amount you are entitled to will vary depending on your funding provider and where you will be living while on placement.
If you normally receive the York Bursary, you will not be eligible during your year in industry as you are not paying full tuition fees. See the Guides for current recipients in Bursaries and scholarships for more information.
