The Inclusive-Learning@York toolkit has four areas of focus to consider when developing inclusive learning and teaching practices. These are Inclusive curriculum design, Learning, teaching and assessment approaches, Building community and belonging and Co-construction, students as partners, and student voice
The resources within this toolkit are not designed as an audit. Instead, you'll find practical guidance and considerations for reflecting on your current learning and teaching practice, and when developing new curricula and pedagogy. For example, “Review any case studies, problem-based learning scenarios and examples used in the curriculum to ensure they reflect a diverse range of experiences and perspectives”
Our reflective questions designed to prompt reflection and critical engagement with the different aspects of inclusive learning and teaching and assessments. For example, “How do your methods for delivering teaching support students to engage and participate in different ways?”
Our case studies are examples of good practice from the University of York and other institutions designed to demonstrate the process and outcomes of implementing inclusive practice within a learning and teaching context.
