We are pleased to announce that the Skin Research Centre (SRC) at Hull York Medical School has been awarded PACE/BIEI funding from the University to adopt a strategic intelligence approach to building networks with academic, clinical, and global corporate entities to create opportunities for collaboration and investment to advance skin research.

The project is led by Professor Tarl Prow, Director of the Skin Research Centre, Hull York Medical School, Professor Alison Layton, Clinical Lead and Lucy Gunnell, Research Associate.

The project is a pioneering initiative which uses innovative global outreach technology to raise awareness of SRC in every corner of skin / dermatological research from R&D to Clinical Development, BD&L, Medical Affairs etc.  By partnering with VISFO, a strategic intelligence company, and leveraging PACE funding, the SRC will implement a targeted, digital business development pipeline over three years. This initiative will enhance efficiency, reach, and impact, ultimately benefiting the SRC and the broader university by saving time, reducing costs, improving research access, and creating new commercial opportunities. Key milestones include defining and identifying key scientific areas, developing a suite of outreach materials, and establishing a flexible business development pipeline.
