An important part of research is making the right connections and knowing who can help you achieve your goals. At York there are a range of networks and services that will help you make the connections you need to be well equipped to take on your research activities.
Research-specific:
- Explore how York harnesses the University’s cross-disciplinary research strengths through our seven research themes.
- Learn more about how York's Research Staff, Postdocs and Early Career Researchers are represented, and how you can get involved.
- Interdisciplinary research networks- your research administrator or research facilitator in your subject area will be able to give you additional advice
- Our Research Staff Liaison Officer provides a link between research staff (postdocs, researchers, fellows) and the central support teams.
- Get to know your department and research centres
- Departmental/subject-specific ethics subcommittees have a remit to facilitate discipline-specific training.

- The Research and Digital Creativity Library can support you with cutting-edge digital labs as well as guidance and services for anyone producing or supporting open research at York
- The York research database lists all our research staff, projects, publications and organisational units, and shows the connections between them all.
- The Building Research and Innovation Capacity TeBuilding Research and Innovation Capacity Teamam (BRIC) offer a range of support and development opportunities.
- Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) are responsible for supporting and developing research, knowledge exchange and impact activities.
