Open Access in Horizon Europe

The Open Science requirements of Horizon Europe grants require that beneficiaries/authors must now publish their scientific publication in an open access venue AND deposit an open access version in a trusted repository at the same time as publication.

Only publishing in an open access venue without depositing in a repository will not comply with the Horizon Europe open access requirements. Publication and open access fees are an eligible cost.

The Library is able to provide more information and guidance on Open Access and will be updating its web pages with Horizon Europe guidance.
