The conference included contributions from: PVC for Research; Dean of the York Graduate Research School and the Wellcome Trust.
A 2020 Wellcome Trust Survey of more than 4000 researchers in the UK and globally showed that most of us are passionate about the research we do. We all have a role to play in developing a positive research culture and environment, developing and taking advantage of professional development and considering our career and employment options. The new Researcher Development Concordat was built around these key areas and was the focus for this conference. Our attendees joined us to help develop the University’s Concordat action plan and shape the future for researchers at the University of York.
