Universities are key drivers of innovation and generate, disseminate and transform knowledge into wider social and economic benefits through engaging with other research organisations, business, the charitable and public sectors and/or the wider community. Knowledge Exchange allows for knowledge and ideas move between the knowledge source and the potential users of that knowledge.
Knowledge Exchange incorporates a variety of activities, ranging from collaborative research, training, knowledge transfer partnerships, commercialisation and development activities, student employability and public engagement. The key common element is that information and expertise is exchanged with businesses, policy makers, the third sector and cultural organizations.
Knowledge Exchange is underpinned by effective partnerships, engaging stakeholders in a two-way dialogue with the University.
