Keen to explore your sustainable travel options in York?

Posted on 26 November 2024

Meet the iTravel York Team at the Ron Cooke Hub on Tuesday 10 December, 9am to 5pm to find out more about your travel options.

With over 18,000 students and 3,800 staff at the University, the potential for traffic congestion and air pollution is significant.

One of the biggest ways to reduce our environmental impact is by choosing sustainable travel options. Whether you're looking to reduce your carbon footprint or simply explore greener ways to get around York, the iTravel York Team, part of City of York Council, will be in the Ron Cooke Hub Atrium on Tuesday 10 December, from 9am to 5pm.

Stop by the iTravel stall to receive free advice on local walking and cycling routes, bus travel, and more. You can also learn about Cycle Training and a two-week free bus travel trial, available exclusively for University of York staff who currently drive to work (tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are valid within York only).

For more information on sustainable travel, visit the iTravel York website for city-wide information, or explore the University’s Travel and Transport web pages, including our Sustainable Travel web page, to learn more about schemes like the Cycle Pool Scheme and free Bike Doctor sessions on campus.
