Alongside the networking, events and workshops planned, we will be introducing our new University campaign to save energy.
“Small change, big impact - Use energy wisely” encourages staff and students to take responsibility for their energy use. This campaign underscores the importance of everyone’s individual contribution.
We have set a bold savings target of £1 million, so alongside embedding sustainability practices, we will be emphasising to staff how energy conservation is also a means to achieve our financial savings targets.
We will be empowering departments with the necessary tools and data to implement sustainable practices. We’ll also have examples of improved building efficiencies, such as Church Lane energy saving data-led adjustments, Law and Sociology base load optimisation, and the recent building closures trials.
Coming soon will be handy practical tips for individuals to contribute to the campaign. We want everyone to embrace small changes that collectively make a big impact.
