YSOC is a facility, housed in the Department of Chemistry, which provides high quality space for activities which motivate and enthuse visitors, young and old, about 21st century science. Operational all year round, it comprises dedicated laboratory space, an instrument/analysis laboratory and preparation room.
With a capacity for up to 40 visitors, it provides space for our STEM departments and the Widening Participation team, to deliver a flexible portfolio of activities suitable for 4- to 19-year-old students and the general public, by invitation.
