Sociology and Criminology Sixth Form Conference

An interesting one-day conference is being hosted by the Department of Sociology at the University of York. It is taking place on Tuesday 25 June 2024.

Designed for 16-18 year olds and A-Level students, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about Sociology and Criminology.

Speakers include:

• Professor David Beer - How are we made by Algorithms?
• Professor Ruth Penfold-Mounce - Celebrity Death and Posthumous Careers.
• Professor Simon Winlow - Researching Bouncers and Badfellas.

There will also be a Student Life question and answer session and an interactive talk on Careers.
