‘Inside Peace' is a multi award-winning documentary film By Studio View Productions. It follows a group of inmates doing hard time in a Texas prison as they embark on a journey of personal discovery while struggling with society’s roadblocks and dangers.
The screening of ‘Inside Peace' will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with representatives from the Peace Education Programme (PEP), which works in correctional institutions in the UK and around the world. There will also be a chance to discuss possible volunteering work opportunities with PEP in nearby prisons.
In May 2015 the PEP had its UK launch at HMP Thameside in S.E. London. Since then over 250 inmates of the prison have attended either part or all of the 20 session course. Subsequently, a further 7 prisons including Doncaster, Leeds, Kilmarnock, Littlehey, North Sea Camp, Ashfield and Channings Wood have adopted the PEP.
