Forensic Aspects of Sleep: research and service developments

This free joint event between Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, PORSCH and CrimNet from the University of York aims to bring together practitioners and academics with interests in forensic aspects of sleep and hope to forge coalitions of interest around future research and service developments.
The content will be of interest to:

• staff in hospital, prison, other custodial settings and in the community
• researchers keen to liaise with communities of practice interested in this underexplored field
• commissioners wishing to engage more with research and development in this

Dr Scott Cairney: Measuring sleep and sleep deprivation
Dr Jack Kennedy: Measuring sleep in a young forensic population using accelerometers
Experts by experience: Contributions by those who have experience of sleep disorders
Dr Paul Reading: Measuring inadequate sleep and its effects beyond sleepiness
