Dear Colleagues
Welcome to the April update for the social sciences at York.
Note the new research network event on social enterprise that has been added on the 11th of June.
Newly commissioned artwork from local artist Giulana Lazzerini is now hanging in our board room, please consider this and our other spaces for events, room usage for any research-related activity is free of charge and an excellent site for public engagement activity. Newly planned outdoor seating will also enable garden party events this summer.
Visiting scholars and escaping academics – If you have visiting scholars ReCSS can help find a place for them, in addition staff on study leave or looking for ‘time away on campus’ can also request a space. Contact: rcss-admin@york.ac.uk with the subject Space for visitors.
If you have events or other news that could usefully be broadcast in this bulletin please send them to rcss-admin@york.ac.uk. This is an excellent way of reaching everyone in the social sciences (and often the arts and humanities as well).
