The idea is to get staff and students from the past and present together – everyone from the very first trailblazers through to those less familiar with the ‘portakabin days’ in the chemistry department car park.
They’ll be (quite a bit of) celebratory booze, some activities to let alumni re-live their past, and a couple of short talks looking back at where we’ve come from and forward to where we’re going to.
The day will be in two-parts: (i) an afternoon event in the Problem Based Learning Area from 2.30pm, and (ii) an evening meal, starting at 7pm.
The event is part-subsided by the department, but in order to support the costs of the meal, attendees are being asked to purchase a ticket at a cost of £30. This will include:

The day is split into two halves: a session in the PBL area in the afternoon (2.30pm to 4.30pm) and a meal at 7pm

After persuading estates services and finding a willing external caterer, a full three-course celebratory dinner will be served in the Atrium of the Law building. Drinks will be provided.
