The team from York and Selby IAPT will be presenting a slideshow with information about what types of therapy they provide and talking about common mental health issues and how prevalent it is.
They will also present a section of the first session of their Wellbeing course which most people that enters into the service attends. That will focus on the basic principles of Cognitive behaviour therapy, identifying a vicious cycle that they might be experiencing at the moment and how to set SMART goals.
The talk is part of a series organised by the Department of Health Sciences, Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing Group.
