Education, meritocracy and inequality in China

Dr Ye Liu presents her current research on social and civic attitudes of university students in China. Dr Liu is a Lecturer in International Development. She was awarded the 2014 Junior Sociologist Prize by the Research Committee on Women in Society of the International Sociology Association and the 2014 Newer Researcher Award by the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE). Her first monograph entitled: “Higher Education, Meritocracy and Inequality in China” is published by Springer in September 2016.
