MRC Logo Med

Thursday 3 November 2016, 1.15PM to 4.15pm

Speaker(s): Dr Jane Callaghan

Understanding Agency and Resistance Strategies is a European Commission funded project, led by the University of Northampton and Northampton Women’s Aid, with partners in Italy, Greece and Spain.

The project explores children’s experiences of domestic violence, and challenges dominant representations of children and young people as passive, damaged ‘witnesses’ to the abuse.

It focuses on children’s capacity to articulate their experiences, and to be reflexive, creative and agentic in their responses to domestic violence.

For subscribing organisations this is a Childrens Services event.

For others there is a fee of £95

Bursaries are available for students and for staff and volunteers from voluntary and community groups and charities; please ask for details.
