Event details

Bradford residents will have the opportunity to share their views on women and girls’ safety in Bradford. The aim of the event is to increase women’s awareness of support mechanisms and initiatives to support vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in Bradford and give women and girls the opportunity to share their views and perceptions of safety and access to support in Bradford city centre.

Your views and perceptions will support the ESRC Vulnerability & Policing Futures Research Centre’s Bradford Mapping project. The project seeks to better understand violence against women and girls in Bradford city centre, what services are available and how citizens perceive and engage with these.

This is a drop-in event – please come along and join us at any time between 12.30 and 3.00pm.

Dr Larissa Engelmann, Dr David Rowlands, Professor Adam Crawford and Dr Adam White.

The event is led by researchers and academics from the University of Leeds (Dr Larissa Engelmann, Dr David Rowlands, and Dr Anna Barker and colleagues) and the University of York (Professor Adam Crawford and Dr Nadia Jessop).

These academics work on different research projects across the UK which seek to support police and local services to address the needs of local communities. The event is co-delivered with the Women and Girls Safety Lead from Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
