My advice about working in my industry

Education is one of the challenging sectors. Improve interpersonal skills, communication skills, teaching skills, and enjoy! :)

What I do

I teach math (and science) for secondary schools. Main focuses are teaching and guiding students reasoning, and problem solving skills regarding math, and real-life-situation basis.

Skills I use and how I developed them

it is about contents (knowledge), and proper ways to deliver (pedagogy). Simply, I referred it as 'CASIC' - Connect, Acknowledge, Serve, Inquire, Choice. Good relationships (with students, staff, etc), well-prepared lessons plans, and positive attitudes are necessary.

Organized and balanced. it is important to balance between life and work. Thus, discipline is the key; keep firm and gentle.

What I like most

"New day, new challenge". To see improvements and progressions made by the students are the best rewards!

What surprised me most

Being a teacher is not just about delivering contents. It is far beyond- unleashing individual's potentials, and create better future for the next generations.
