What has helped my career to progress

A lot of hard work and research.

Courses taken since graduation

I work now with the Reggio Emilia approach. I learned about creativity in the work place. These were specific courses for my current position. You need to stay informed.

How my studies have helped my career

My studies at York has given me the tools of knowledge and skills needed to begin any career in my life. However, I can't stop there. I continued with going to managerial courses, finance and business in addition to visiting in November Italy where I will spend 2 weeks in Reggio Emilia Schools.

My advice about working in my industry

If you have patience and you are resilient, then hard work will come easily to you with a bit of luck as a topping.

What I do

I supervise a diverse group of staff as well as 150 students. I coordinate training sessions and initiate extracurricular programs with various communities in the region.

Skills I use and how I developed them

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills, which allow me to cultivate a supportive learning environment, reinforce school standards, values, policies and goals.

What I like most

I love the diverse people I meet

What I like least

What surprised me most

My expectations were high, however, I needed to understand that this was a smaller company and things needed time to be excuted.
