What top tips do you have for York students preparing for today’s job market and life after graduation?
Look at your experiences and what you can gain from each of them and apply on the next challenge/job/task. Start broad and look to gains general understand across disciplines and apply learnings from one to the other. Keep in mind what you'd like to do in the long term and what tires of company you’d like to work with - most times there’s more than just the salary to discuss (like culture, impact, purpose, and other benefits like slow travel days).
What topics from students are you happy to answer questions on?
Any topics, particularly around consultancy vs in-house. I’m very strategic minded so strategy and conceptual thinking topics. I’m passionate about making a as difference and having and impact - if you want to speak about capitalising these happy to!
