Why I continued studying

I wanted to start a career in the space industry, and knew an MSc could bridge the gap

What my course is like

My course was one full year (12 months) including a research project over the summer months. Modules focused on all aspects of spacecraft engineering, including systems, structures, orbital mechanics, propulsion and design.

How I have funded my studies

I was fortunate to be funded by a bursary from the Royal Aeronautical Society. There are other funding routes available - check out www.findamasters.com/funding/guides/masters-funding-guide.aspx

What I like most

The subject! Space is such an engaging topic that every lecture was interesting. The lecturers are from diverse backgrounds which is great for networking.

What I like least

It's intense. You take exams only a few months after beginning your studies, and there's not much time to get up to speed with the basics.
