How I looked for work

I signed up for alerts on the Civil Service Jobs website and applied when the job was advertised in November 2016.

The recruitment process

After completing the application form, I attended an interview at the Department. A couple of weeks later, I received an email offering me the job. Having received further information about my specific responsibilities and undergone security checks, I accepted the role and started in April 2017.

My career history

Before my current role, I worked for a senior Cabinet Minister as a Parliamentary Researcher for eighteen months.
