A day in the life of a Private Banker in the United Kingdom

How I found out about the job

Employer's website

My advice to students considering work

Make the most out of the extracurricular aspects of University life. I found my time at the Griff Investment Fund and York Finance conference to be invaluable and I was able to develop my skills immensely.

What I do

Starting September 2018 I will be training and undergo exams for two years to become a Private banker.

Skills I use and how I developed them

Interpersonal skills - I will be meeting clients and tailoring the bank’s services to their specific needs.
Team work - I have been assigned to the Financial Sponsors and Executives client group and will work with my team to meet deadlines and to achieve the best results for our clients.
