My advice to students considering work
As an international student, its not the easy feat to find a job in the UK in this field. I feel EU has a lot more options.
My advice about working in my industry
To always keep yourself updated with the latest especially technology related teaching.
What I do
I teach English as a foreign/ second language to non native speakers. I specialise in teaching English language to adults but also teach primary and secondary students. In the past I have done corporate training too- teaching Business English (speaking & writing) to working professionals.
Skills I use and how I developed them
My strongest area is enabling students become independent learners. A great deal of patience and an understanding of clients' requirements goes a long way in planning successful lessons.
Interacting with colleagues, peers and being a part of a lot of online forums helps me stay updated with new ideas.
What I like most
Interacting with people from all sorts of backgrounds/ countries/ age groups and helping them become independent learners
