My advice to students considering work
Consider literally everything and be open to what your potential can be.
What I do
I'm an independent cross-form arts producer and practitioner. I've worked across multiple venues in London and have a contemporary slate of artists I develop and make work with.
Current artists I work with are Katie Greenall, Willy Hudson, Ray Filar and Fran Bushe. I'm one of the company Directors for Pecs Drag Kings and work with Engineer Theatre Collective and as an associate of Access All Areas.
I'm one of the Old Vic 12 as a producer 2018/2019. And a regular guest lecturer at Fordham University on their Texts and Contexts module. I'm are also a qualified disability equality trainer.
Previously I was the assistant producer at Theatre Royal Stratford East and have also worked with Stratford East as an Associate Producer where I led on the programming of their former 60 seat studio, platforming and mentoring daring new artists toward strategic outcomes.
Skills I use and how I developed them
I work with budgeting, logistics, production management, marketing, casting, dramaturgy, planning, fundraising. Basically getting sh*t done in theatre.
What I like most
I'm my own boss. I meet lot of different people all the time and that's really exciting.
What I like least
Sometimes all the work comes at once and you've got to learn to juggle a lot together.
