My advice to students considering work

Aside from academic performance, gaining some work experience via an internship is helpful, read widely and seek to meet people at the university from a wide variety of backgrounds and courses

What I do

Working in EY's Investment Banking group in New York, I provide clients with advice on mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic and corporate financing alternatives.

Skills I use and how I developed them

A lot of the fundamental skills I use now were initially developed both on my degree course and via involvement in extra-curricular activities at the university.

What I like most

High level client exposure, the people I work with, and ability to work in different international locations.
