A day in the life of a Co-founder and freelancer in France

I shifted my career from being completely in tech to something slightly different. My career change happened 5 years after I graduated from York University, when I decided to do a master's degree in Sustainability and Social Innovation.

Briefly describe the organisation you work for

The SASI co. is a sustainability agency which provides tools for businesses to advance in their sustainability startegies.

What do you do?

I organise workshops and courses on "Technology for Sustainability" subject. This also includes performing research, creating content and advising companies how they could use technologies to meet their sustainability taragets.

Completely. After I graduated I had a "safe" job in one of the investment banks.

Describe your most memorable day at work

Giving a workshop in my second foreign language to senior management. It was super stressful but at the end of the day they were extremely happy with the outcome.

The York Rotaract club. Organisational, time management, presentation, entrepreneurial...

What top tips do you have for York students preparing for today’s job market and life after graduation?

Don't be scared to make a mistake when choosing your career. You will be learning your whole life.
Also, do not settle for the first job and do not choose what others want you to choose.

What topics from students are you happy to answer questions on?

Worklife in investment banks; career change; sustainability sector.
