11-18 high achieving school in the centre of Manchester
What do you do?
Subject lead for Biology in a medium sized school. Teaching, writing schemes of work and management of a small department

Realising I didn’t want to give up Biology

Not exactly, but I did fall into it

Year 11 and year 13 leaving days, the thank yous, the joy and the relief that studying is almost over for those students
Are there any challenges associated with your job?
Many! Teenagers, parents and marking!

Teamwork and lots of organisation
What extracurricular activities did you undertake at university and what transferable skills did you develop through these?
James College Netball Captain, I still play netball and coach at a local level.
What would you like to do next with your career?
Continue to develop my role within the department
