A day in the life of a Secondary English Teacher in the United Kingdom
Briefly describe the organisation you work for
Teach First aim is to break the link between a household income and educational outcomes through employing high calibre teachers that have taken part in their two-year leadership development programme.
What do you do?
I teach 5 classes of Y7, 8 and 9. I cover the GCSE AQA English specification in a South London Secondary school.
Reflecting upon your past employment and education, what led you to your current career choice?
Straight out of Uni I secured a graduate scheme a year in advance (2018) to teach Secondary school English in London with Teach First.
Is your current job sector different from what you thought you would enter when you graduated?
