A day in the life of a Constituency Organiser in the United Kingdom
Courses taken since graduation
MA, International Human Rights Law and Public Policy (also at York)
Where I hope to be in 5 years
Impossible to say until after the General Election.
My advice to students considering work
Get involved in extracuricular activity relevant to what you want to do - they're far more important than your degree mark in my experience.
What I do
Running a General Election campaign in a key Lib Dem target seat, including writing, producing and organising delivery of literature, canvassing, recruiting and keeping volunteers and, literally, everything else.
Skills I use and how I developed them
I had been involved in the campaign I now run anyway.
Degree skills:
Being independent and self motivated is vital in this job.
What I like most
Winning elections!
What I like least
What would I change? A better salary - politics is not well paid!
