A day in the life of a Business Owner in China
My career history
I worked in project management in an automobile parts company after I finished my management course in York in 2007. In 2009, I set up my cleaning products research and development business.
My advice to students considering work
To prepare for their future career, students should get more relevant work experience.
What I do
Running my own business focused on cleaning products research and development, I have to manage the sales team, marketing team and R&D team. Moreover, I am responsible for every aspect of my business.
Skills I use and how I developed them
Degree skills:
My Masters degree in management, along with my fluent command of English polished from my overseas study, gave me an advantage in getting my previous role in project management.
What I like most
I am glad to see the development of my own brand, and I am able to manage my business in the direction I want it to go.
What I like least
As a business owner, I have to overcome all the challenges involved in setting up and running a business, but this is a very special experience for me.
