A day in the life of a Data analyst in China
My career history
I have been working in China Economic Information Network since I graduated in 2005.
My advice to students considering work
If students and graduates do not have any work experience, they should proactively participate in extra-curricular activities to develop and showcase their talents. Moreover, they should have an in-depth knowledge about their academic course, as this can be useful for their future career.
What I do
Working as a data analyst, I am responsible for analysing and editing the data, researching and developing new information products, as well as providing sales support.
Skills I use and how I developed them
Degree skills:
My masters course in economics equipped me with the professional knowledge of quantitative analysis, which is very useful and helps me analyse the data at my current position.
What I like most
I enjoy the satisfaction of successful development and launching of new information products with my colleagues, which were used and appreciated by our clients.
What I like least
Sometimes the working hours are quite long.
