My career goals when I graduated
Continued career profession in any chosen career...originally this was International City Law...Soon changed to teaching for a better work-life balance.
My career history
- Vacation Schemes & experience at various Magic and Silver Circle law firms (BLP, Addleshaw Goddard, Taylor Wessing, DLA Piper, Linklaters)
- Brand Manger for the law firm BLP
- Observation experience at various schools.

Researching my chosen path online and keeping up to date on developments via Twitter.

How my studies have helped my career
All studies have trained me for the high workload I face daily and time management so I can achieve a good work-life balance.
What surprised me about my career so far
Rapid career progression in a variety of directions and a competitive salary is available in the education sphere.
Where I hope to be in 5 years
Senior role within a school and/or working in Initial Teacher Training.
My advice to students considering work
Stay up to date on recent developments in your chosen career and try and get as much work experience (even if only tangentially relevant) as possible.
My advice about working in my industry
It's tough and the hours are NOT 8:30-3pm but it is one of the best careers in the world. Where else can you say that you are personally shaping our next generation?
