What I do
I'm Course Leader for BA (Hons) Media & Communications and BA (Hons) Media & Creative Writing at the University for the Creative Arts at Farnham. My remits include administration (ensuring the courses are run smoothly and of quality and of standard), teaching (I teach media and communication theory, cultural theory, project management, research methods, and supervise students dissertations), and research and community engagement (including speak on the University Open Days).
Skills I use and how I developed them
Communication skills in all forms are essential. Practice makes perfect. Organisation skills are also important being in an administrative position. Influencing and leadership skills are increasing important for a managerial position that I'm having.
