How I found out about the postgraduate place

Personal contacts

Why I continued studying

I wanted to find out more about the sector that I worked in, and to help myself stand out on application forms.

What my course is like

I studied my course alongside a full time job, using a distance-learning model.

How I have funded my studies

I self-funded my study, saving a little money from my salary each month to cover the cost.

What I like most

I really enjoyed getting to know more about the sector in depth, and beginning to establish my own informed ideas about higher education.

What I like least

Studying alongside a full-time role is not an easy thing to do, and I'd really encourage people to think carefully before they embark on this.

My advice to students considering further study

Think carefully about why you want the qualification. Consider whether you might benefit more after working in that sector for a couple of years; real-world experience can really add value to the qualification.
