Biography

Quinn is a PhD researcher examining climate adaptation in Beijing's urban villages, focusing on governance structures, the hukou system, and adaptation justice. Her work explores how policies and power dynamics shape who benefits from adaptation resources and who is marginalized, integrating political ecology, intersectionality, and the capability approach.

Before starting her PhD, she completed BSc Economics, MSc Health Research, which helped narrow her interests to her current research. Quinn is particularly interested in the intersection of urbanization, governance, and social equity, aiming to contribute insights for policymakers and scholars in addressing environmental and social challenges in rapidly urbanizing contexts.
