Biography

Luke’s current research includes the Ecological Citizens project, which promotes ecological citizenship through transdisciplinary collaboration across fields like design, arts, environmental science, and technology. The project focuses on fostering community-driven climate action for a sustainable digital society.

He is also a researcher on the Retrofit One Stop Shop for York (ROSSY) project, a partnership with the City of York aimed at decarbonising the domestic sector through a retrofit one-stop shop aligned with York’s 2030 net-zero goal.

His broader work examines retrofit strategies and smart local energy systems to support low-carbon transitions in the built environment, emphasising community engagement in energy efficiency and sustainability.
