Biography

Elizabeth is a Research Associate at SEI York where she works on ongoing projects aimed at achieving net-zero goals and just transitions. For the Retrofit One-Stop Shop York (ROSSY) project and Yorkshire Policy Innovation Project (YPIP), Elizabeth contributes to producing academic outputs, analyzing qualitative data, and undertaking geospatial analysis investigating retrofit potential.

She has previously worked on the Schools’ Air Quality Monitoring for Health and Education (SAMHE) citizen science project by facilitating schools’ engagement. She also contributes to an ongoing project investigating a new interdisciplinary framework for climate migration (CLIMIG) at the University of Gothenburg.

Elizabeth also completed her PhD at the University of York exploring the social acceptability and disruptive potential of agrivoltaics in northwestern India. She is expected to be awarded her PhD in early 2025. Prior to this, she received her MSc. in Sustainable Development and Environmental Economics from the University of St Andrews, and her dual-Bachelors in Environmental Science and Policy, and East Asian Studies from Smith College.

Prior to coming to the UK, she has worked as an environmental specialist and liaison for the solar energy siting program at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Climate Change and Clean Energy.
