Biography

Carolyn's work explores our shifting relationship with nature. Blending art, design, communication, and technology-driven approaches, she designs installations and interactive experiences that make our entanglement with the natural world more visible and tangible.

An early passion for emerging technologies expanded design practice beyond traditional output into digital and immersive storytelling. A key focus of this work is visualising complex information and data in ways that engage audiences and deepen understanding. Combining both traditional and digital techniques, this work has taken form through installation, augmented reality, design, information physicalisation and is utilised in public spaces, exhibitions and learning environments.

Alongside creative practice, she lectures in design theory and practice, working across both academic and commercial landscapes. She also serves as an external examiner for degree courses in design at the University of Sunderland extending to Hong Kong, and Athens.
